CLOSED Selecting a Soft Cloud set crashes EF

Recommended Posts

I have Texture Direct. I can select and sync Cloud sets until I try a "Soft Clouds" set at which point REX crashes (event log below).

A missing TRY CATCH perhaps.. but why is there a directory not found? If I open Texture Direct I can set Soft Cloud sets with no issue.

Nah, I just won't select Soft Clouds..

I think you have enough there to send to the devs and stick some error handling around that bit, even if its to say please re-install xxx...

I am more frustrated by having to manually run REX 5 EVERY time manually BEFORE starting Prepar3D.. oh and then having to click YES I WANT TO MANUALLY EDIT.. why in gods name isn't this a setting that is saved between sessions and why doesn't REX automatically load up with P3D?

Something to do with injecting the DLLs I bet but yea its a real PITA and with SIMSTARTER it doesn't always load in time so I basically have a 50/50 chance of having REX working in any session so I am losing interest in it. I also don't see smooth weather changes with Active Sky which is the real reason I bought it.

Its really a very poor user experience, not to mention no ability to update a profile/SAVE changes, years of this madness in your apps, you have to create a new PROFILE every time and cannot overwrite the old one! Its absolutely crazy UX design! 🤦‍♂️

Where REX Environment Force is installed is a LOG file.  Can you please send us any files that located within that folder please for us to review.
