This could very well be the case.  You are probably right.

Clarification from the REX developers would be helpful though. :)

There are no textures or cloud models included in Environment Force. For cloud and sky sync, Sky Force is necessary, however we will be opening the SDK up to other developers in the near future.

Environment Force opens up new roads for Sky Force tech. Watch for free updates later in our Creative Update packages for Sky Force.

Thanks, this makes better sense now.

One more question if you don't mind. 🙂

When in comes to the weather engine (cloud forming and morphing) will weather force (the free skyforce update) be any better/worse than the weather engine in environment force?

Thanks

I think you got it wrong. Sky force has the implemented weather engine. Environment force do "other" things.

The smooth weather transition API from EF will be free for Sky Force owners, there will be no more abrupt weather transitions with the SF weather engine. This will be called the Weather Force API, included with Creative Update 1.

I see.  So EFs weather smooth transition API is the same as the one that will be used in Skyforce.  That answers my questions.  Thanks

I use REX Texture direct with soft clouds, HiFi Active Sky for P3Dv4 and PTA.

Can I use ENVIRONMENT FORCE with it and/or replaces it PTA?

Regards Raller

Yes you can use Environment Force with each of those tools.

Confirmez-vous que PTA et Environment Force sont compatibles?

Exactement, je pensais que la force de l'environnement était un PTA amélioré ...

That was my second question too: is ENVIRONMENT FORCE  like PTA or a replacement for PTA?

I just looked at the site- halfway done with deployment, woo hoo.  I wonder if this means that we had to wait for p3d 4.5 to come out before environment force could be released.  Now that's out, so maybe we're almost there folks.  Lickin' my chops in eager anticipation:-)

If you wish to continue using Activesky but would like to also use REX textures, what other program do you need?  Right now I have Activesky Clouds, however, I would like to go back to REX textures for sky, sun, clouds, etc.  thanks.

I'm little bit confused. Enviroment force will be free to REX SF owners or it will not?

Thank you!

Not free I'm sure but discounted,  that's the way I read the question and answer ... I'm sure that it will not be free ! Be a great world if developers gave their time for free for us to have potentially amazing products for our equally amazing hobby
