RESOLVED Soft Cloud Integration will not install

We would like everyone to try this:

1.) Install REX Texture Direct

2.) Start up REX Texture Direct so the program will set the registry.

3.) Close REX Texture Direct

4.) Start and complete installation of REX Soft Clouds Integration

That is not necessary.

For those that are still receiving the SAME EXACT ISSUE, please post your FULL system specs. Please do not ask for support in this thread that doesn't pertain to this issue. It will be removed.

Tried all that. Still the same issue.

  1. REX4 Texture Direct 4.7.2017.0814 installed
  2. Downloaded rextdsc_sp7_20170818_npaddon.zip with Chrome.
  3. Unzipped to a temp folder with 7-zip. (Gives rexinstaller.exe, rextd1.cab, rextd2.cab and rextdsc_sp7_20170818_nopay.msi)
  4. Disabled F-Secure
  5. Ran rexinstaller.exe as administrator
  6. Installer computes space requirements with also the following line: "Property: REX4_VERSION, Signature: AppSearchSign_1". When done I clicked Next
  7. Gave in my name and FSS serial number. Clicked Next
  8. Prerequisites list is blank. Nothing to select. Clicked Next.
  9. Folder: specifies correct path for REX4 TD (D:\FSApps\REX Texture Direct\).
  10. Next and Back buttons don't give a reaction

My specs:

Windows 10 Home Version 1703 build 15063.540.
Intel i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro
Corsair Vengeance LP 4 x 4 GB DDR3-1600 - PC3-12800
MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G GDDR5 VGA
CRUCIAL SSD m4 - 128 GB
CRUCIAL SSD m4 - 256 GB
WESTERN DIGITAL Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB

How about users give you order numbers for both products and REX provides a download link for the full combined product with a combined key (as if we'd bought it from the REX store)?

This whole Texture Direct / Soft Clouds / Texture Direct with Soft Clouds / Soft Clouds integration is overly complicated for what should only ever have been one piece of software from the start.

We have redone the integration installers.

Again please make sure you have one of the required builds before you install.

Do I need all of these? Can any be uninstalled as redundant?

REX in Program and Features.PNG

Please uninstall all versions.

Then install only REX 4 Texture Direct Enhanced Edition and then install the Soft Clouds integration.

Yup, did that and now I have a nice clean installation.  Mind you it was working as was,  but I like to go for the minimum of clutter. So onward and upward. By the way the tone of this discussion from developer and user community was (even when we were frustrated a bit)  cordial, respective and obviously productive. Full marks.

Thanks again,
Clayton

Thank you so much Clayton, and again, to all for helping us get it to where it needed to go.

Cheers! :)
