RESOLVED Night time water texture problem

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a problem with my night time water textures.I'm using REX4 with ORBX NCA,PNW.

During the day they look fantastic..night time the water has a  black grid on it made up of thin lines.trying to put a photo up..

hope you don't mind me posting here as i'm pretty sure this isn't a REX problem.just wondered  if anyone had been through the same thing and solved it.

     thanks for any help

Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot of what you are experiencing?

Hi Reed

Just wanted to let you know this has nothing to do with REX Ess or REX4.i just installed a basic copy of FSX without SP1 or Acc and the lines are still there.

it's a strange problem because the bigger the texture resolution the fatter and bigger the lines get.i'll try and post a photo

   thanks

You're not referring to the light reflection in the water, are you? I'm not sure I see what you're seeing...

Hi Galen

No not the light..thats from helicopter..it's the Straight lines that form a grid...the helicopter  is over water and that's what my water looks like at night.

   cheers

Can you show a screen shot of your FSX scenery and display settings?

Hi Reed.

Here you go

I've tried raising and lowering every slider .only one that does anything is  texture resolution.that just makes the lines fatter of thinner depending which way you go.

  thanks

Steve, this issue isn't related to REX, hence I'm closing this. Use a shader program such as FSWC to mask this issue.
