CLOSED [NOT REX ISSUE] Need help with REX Essential+OD

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

first i want to tell you, what i did:

I wanted to reinstall my FSX, so i deleted all of my Add-Ons. Just REX Essential+OD i dont deleted.

First question:

I bought REX+OD and updated it to REX Essential+OD. Is it possible to get a complete file of REX Essential+OD for installing it know, or must i install the old REX+OD first and update it again to Essential? (After deleting)

So know my main issue:

I installed the Auto-Updater and installed the new version of REX Ressential+OD. Then i installed FSX and the acceleration and tried to do some missions.

I started REX and chose "I just want to fly" (after checking all parameters). Then there came the following issue:

Can you please add the following additional information to your signature? This will help us to understand your system specs so that we may further assist you.

1.) Operating system and version (32bit or 64bit)

2.) RAM memory size

3.) Video card and memory size

4.) Overclocking?

5.) Total hard drive space

6.) Using REX in a network or not

7.) Which version of Flight Simulator installed (including service packs)

8.) Internet connection active or not

9.) Which antivirus software running

10.) Whether or not firewall running

11.) Whether or not you are utilizing FSUIPC

12.) If there are any error logs in the REX/ErrorLogs folder, make certain to include in your post

13.) Is UAC turned OFF in Windows

14.) What folder is REX installed in

15.) What folder is FSX/P3D installed in

16.) Do you start REX by RIGHT CLICKING the exe file and selecting RUN AS ADMIN EACH time?

17.) What is your RATE AT WHICH WEATHER CHANGES OVER TIME set to in FS?

18.) Did you use a flightplan from REX when experiencing the error(s)?

19.) Did you make changes to the CONFIGURATION screen or are ALL the settings stock?

20.) What are your texture settings within the OPTIONS window?

Thank you in advance for this information.

Ok, some Information about my System are now in my signature. I use 64bit. Not Overclocking

Just use REX on this System. I use FSX ACC with SP2 with active internet connection.

Using "Antivir" Software and firewall is running.

I dont use FSUIPC.

Uh there are more than 100 errorlogs in REX/errorlogs.

REX is installed in C:/REX

FSX is installed in C:/FSX

REX is started with admin rights.

weather changes every 1 min. (dont know what is thee best option here)

I dont use the REX flightplan

I change the configuration when i started REX first. But then dont change it anymore.

texture options are the standard settings. Just changed the resolution to the best.

Hope this is all u want to know.

But one question isnt still answered:

Is there anywhere a FULL new download off REX Essential+OD? May a full deinstallation of REX is the best way to solve the issue.

Make sure your UAC (User Account Control) in Windows is turned off.

Hi Friedolien,

It looks like a problem which i had a while ago. Try to run simconnect.msi, it must be in the folder where REX is installed. When i had done this my problem was gone.

Regards

Rene

Yeah,

I solved it.

It wasnt the issue by REX. It was the issue of a driver unit combined with the UIAuto.dll

Now I use an older driver unit and everything works.

Thx everyone for supporting.

One question left:

Is there any suggestion for me and my hardware for the optimal REX configuration? Would be great if you can tell me what I shall use :)

All weather related options in the configuration manager are at your discretion.

As for options in regards to textures on the options manager, you should use the 1024 3d clouds option using DXT5. Use DXT1 compression for the waves.
