Trying to give it another go, but after following all the downloading steps and after running the program as an Administrator I get the message "REX Essentail has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution.....". Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Have uninstalled and downloaded the zip file twice more and tried reinstalling. Nothing seems to work. Happy new year!

Happy new year to you too. :)

I can only guess, but maybe there's something mixed up on the dot net components of yours. Can you check your

for an entry related to REX? Please post that log entry. You will find it due to its symbol, it's listed as red ERROR.

Condor,

When you open REX, do you see a startup window? Does it EVER get to the point of opening the application interface?

Got the e-mail Tim...thanks a lot, great service! But I did as instructed: unzipped the file and dropped it onto the REX ESS fonts folder, but no cigar.:)

Maybe I wasn't as clear as I thought I was, but I'm not referring to placing them into the REX folder.

Place them into your WINDOWS SYSTEM FONTS FOLDER.

Sorry Tim. OK I did it but I keep getting this message: Cannot Install Font, the file C/Users...etc.etc. 'does not appear to be a valid font'.

Now because of my stupidity, I deleted the previous font folder in REX and replaced it the the one you sent. Is that also going to be a problem? I apologize again Tim.

Looks as if your gmail doesn't accept files over 7MB :( Do you have another email address?

Tim does need to get the file over to you. Maybe he can put it on a public download server or something?

Now, do you have the FIRST email I sent you labelled "REX FIX"? The ORIGINAL FIRST EMAIL I sent to you?

Then follow the directions in that email, and this time do NOT put them in the REX folder!

I am just checking in to see if the issue you are experiencing has been resolved?

Followed instructions and replaced the fonts on windows but still REX does not run. But the problem seems to definitely be FONTS, so I wonder if there are other fonts missing or corrupt...sorry I am not a computer savvy individual, and I certainly appreciate the help.
