  1. hello how I can connect AS16 in new REX for P3D V4.0 when going to folder where snapshot.wx file is situated, the file is not displayed to select, although it is existing in the appropiate folder. need some help.
  2. Hello, I have installed Hotfix2 and get this Error when I tick on "Cloud Sizing Algorithm". See Pic: How to solve this? REX 4.8.2016.0325 is started as Admin, and also all Programs are installed as Administrator
  3. Hi I've recently purchased FSX: Steam Edition Premium (which included Rex4 Texture Direct). It's now installed and working fine and at the latest build 4.6.2016.0210 I then went on an FSX addon binge (as you do) and purchased REX Soft Clouds (outside of Steam). It is also installed and working fine at build 4.3.2016.0210 (even though the interface says it still needs an update?) Is there a way to integrate my stand alone REX Soft Clouds with REX Texture Direct Steam edition? From the warning listed in this topic, i gather there isnt, but Im happy to be proven wrong. Also, at the risk of continuing down the rubbish Steam addon path, am I better off deleting the Texture Direct Steam edition, and re-starting with an all combined REX product like REX Essential Overdrive? I would much rather prefer to do all my REX modifications from within one application, than having to open multiple different stand alone apps. On that note - does REX Essential Overdrive include all the elements of Texture Direct and Soft Clouds within the same package? It doesnt explicitly say that on the website. Would be nice to see a feature list table comparing all the REX products so I know what Im buying. Looking forward to hearing back and thanks for developing this incredible software. It has totally rekindled my enthusiasm for flight sims (much to the dismay of my wallet)
  4. Hello everyone, I bought Rex4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds, downloaded it and installed it (always with full admin rights, no other programmes other than the installation and windows explorer running) and everything seemed fine. However, when I start the interface, it will pop up for a second then my PC freezes. Like, complete lock up. Nothing reacts anymore and I need to hit the reset button to reboot it. I tried a fresh reinstall and also downloading it again and trying from scratch. However nothing has fixed my issue yet. Any pointers what could be the cause? My Flightsim is FSX:SE. I attached a DxDiag hoping it might help troubleshoot the issue. Thanks Alex DxDiag.txt
  5. Re Update Service Pack 6 - Hotfix 1 - (build: 4.8.2016.0314) Please remove the auto shader deletion and turn it into an OPTIONAL feature. It's beyond annoying to change a minor texture set, only to have the whole sim have to rebuild all shaders. Also, have it delete the contents of the shader folder, not the folder itself. How can YOU know that there aren't modified shaders already present in that temp folder, unrelated to your sky, cloud, water textures? Can you specify which sections actually REQUIRE a shader rebuild? Seems what you have done here is blunt force trauma on what should have been a scalpel operation.
  6. Hi there. I purchased the steam version of Texture Direct the other day and went through the installation. After it was completed, I noticed a few issues - some small, some major (for me). The program did not find my steam directory using my system registry and I had quite a time figuring out where it was. I am using the directory of FSX, under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. It seems to work, but I'm not positive. The other problem for me is trying to find out what should be used as my weather engine in the configuration setup. There is nothing in the manual to help me find what I am looking for, and the weather changes that I try under themes are not working. Help!! As well, but no big deal, the program has no 'picture icon' associated with it, just a blank icon. I hope you can help me. Thank you! Brad
  7. I have bought the REX 4 and Soft Clouds bundle from FSPilotShop and downloaded it from a computer with a wired connection in the hopes of transferring it to my flight sim computer on a flash drive. When I went to the setup.exe file it came back saying my version of windows (WIin 7 Pro) doesn't support this file. I have read posts from earlier saying that I should use GetRight or something similar. I have tried both GetRight and BitTorrent but haven't gotten them to start the download but I will try GetRight again later today. Are there any other things I can try? I have 16 attempts remaining from FSPilotShop. Just an idea here, but does the REX store offer the downloader that came with REX Essentials? It seemed to work very well and I think this could definitely help.
