  1. Hi. I have the same problem as other users. I can not activate the Prepar3D option. I followed the manual instructions as well as the account reactivation and has not worked. I also uninstalled/reinstalled the program. After restoring the configuration with my username and password, the problem continues, P3D NOT ACTIVATED.
  2. Hello, i had to reinstall my Prepar3D V3.2 Simulator. Now i installed REX-Essentials Plus Overdrive. I can't use it because it is not activated for Prepar3D. Few month ago i purched the "Prepar3D User access" and everything worked fine. How can i reactivate this Product for Prepar3d? My Invoice is "59444-P3DPAY" 2016/01/31. Thanks for Help! Regards!

Hello there fellow simmers, I've been messing around with prepar3d v2 and as some of you have already seen, it brings great improvements but also other glitches and things that may not be of your liking. One of those are the water textures and shaders. prepar3d v2 does bring improvements in water like the 3d water among other things but falls quite short in the water texture and shader department in my opinion. So, how can we have prepar3d v2 but with the awesome water that we find in fsx DX9 with any REX theme? By changing the shaders and waterconstant file. Here is how i did it after researching online. 1. First make a copy of all the files that you are replacing by going to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ShadersHLSL\Terrain to make it easy just back up the whole "terrain" folder 2. back up the waterconstants.xml file found here : C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 3.Now go to your FSX folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ShadersHLSL\Terrain and copy the following files: (I HAD FSX WITH REX sparkling theme, thats what im copying) water20.fx water20.fxh water40.fx water40.fxh water40consts.fxh water40macros.fxh 4. now paste these on your prepar3d shaders folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ShadersHLSL\Terrain overwrite when prompted. 5. copy the waterconstants.xml file from fsx from here : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X 6. paste the waterconstant.xml file into the prepar3d folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 7. good, now we need to clear the shaders cache. Go to this location and delete the shaders folder (NOTE. if you so feel like it you can back up this folder too, just in case but it shouldn't be necessary since prepar3d will recompile the shaders and create a new shaders folder) : C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 Great now you can start prepar3d v2 and it will automatically recompile the shaders and you should see a dramatic difference. Enjoy a new updated sim with the best water today. (if prepar3d starts and its black and has missing textures, wait a few seconds (15-30 sec) and it should finish recompiling and go back to normal. We are not copying all of the water files inside fsx terrain folder because Im not sure if prepar3d will read the other files too, so Im only replacing the files that are already inside the prepard 3d terrain folder. Also note, I am still testing this as i type this but i wanted people to know that there is an alternative right now that you can try while we wait for them to fix the water. I still have to test this in different weather and wind and what not so please let me know how it works out for you. In addition i believe that since we have the old 2.0 shaders for the water now all water themes in REX should work now. And also you can try using FSCW to fine tune even more the water to your liking, i think it should work. here is a quick pic of how it looks after this. again still testing and fine tuning. sorry dont have one before the fix That's it .   5. Hey I've been reading the forums trying to figure out why I cannot install textures into P3D. I have purchased a P3D key and it is activated in REX. I keep getting this message when trying to install: I have tried to restore my settings by entering my username and password. It says it was successful but I still end up with the same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If you need more info let me know! Mike.
  6. After running REX Auto Updater (installed successfully including SQL and .NET packages and finished with "all up to date" message) it is not possible to Restore Configuration. Buttons for Restore and Backup are missing. Also when selecting SImulator Folder Location using Browse, the field stays blank. It is possible to type path manually but it is not saved. Also on About REX tab my Product Key is missing. Previously it was there or REXNOINTERNET when internet connection was not available. BTW I'm connected to internet.

I'm currently making the transition from FSX to Prepar3D v1.4 I've installed REX Essential plus overdrive and referenced it to my Prepar3D directory, rather than FSX...but I'm getting the error message 'you cannot install textures into Prepar3D until you have a valid license key' I'm confused by all the information on this forum. Do I, or do I not need to purchase a separate license key for Prepar3D? If so, how do I go about doing this?
  8. (Two questions) First: In REX <Flight-Center><Create a Flight Plan> having created a plan If I click either <Fly Now> or <Save>, Prepar3D is automatically launched. However the flight-plan is NOT loaded. Instead my P3D "Default Flight" is launched per usual. Is the REX flight-plan supposed to import automatically? I did discover I can use Prepar3D's Flight-Planner to browse to the REX install folder and load the flight plan but thought this would be done for me on startup. Second: Using REX, I created a flight plan from LIRF to LFML. Loading either into Prepar3D, the Nav-Log fills out but instead of listing (VOR)(NDB), etc with radio frequencies where appropriate each waypoint is listed as (other). Once I hit load, my plane is moved to LIRF, but opening the Map Window or GPS, the flight path is not drawn. It seems Prepar3D is not recognizing the waypoints defined by REX. Why is this not syncing up correctly? REX is installed under (C:\), P3D is under ProgramFiles(x86). Windows-User is "Administrator", UAC turned off, REX.exe<properties>< compatibility > 'Run this program as an administrator' is Enabled. Textures and Weather are being injected into Prepar3D, so that much is working. Other specs in sig-tag.
