  1. If you are experiencing difficulty in downloading files please do the following: IF PURCHASED AT REX STORE: 1.) If you are using the REX File Transfer Manager tool to download, start it again and under the "Download Type" option select the 2nd option "Use direct download links to download files". This will provide individual links to download. You can use your download manager built within your browser to control it at this time. 2.) If option #1 doesn't work on the bottom of the REX File Transfer/Support Manager is a link to "Submit Support Ticket". Click that link, fill out the form, and submit it. This will automatically generate a support ticket within our system and we directly contact you with another solution." IF PURCHASED AT ANOTHER STORE: 1.) Please send an email directly to us: support@rexgamestudios.com. Please include your order #, product name, and store as well as a link to this post. This will automatically generate a support ticket within our system and we will respond with a solution very quickly.
  2. Hi folks, I am more of an advanced user when it comes to using payware gauges like this, mainly with custom crafted 2D panel sets for cockpit building. I want to have at least three instances of the weather radar within a single panel config file to allow for many possible user variations so that myself and others, depending on how many monitors are in use, can make the best overall use of the panel set. For example, this would be for a full screen IFR panel with the radar as a separate pop-up window for toggling on / off, second is a co-pilot panel which will have a full radio stack and the radar placed on the panel next to the stack, and lastly the radar hard mounted in the Virtual Cockpit on the co-pilot side so that it reflects the same install visually as the 2D copilot panel. I already have a comprehensive 2D panel config ready to go and will be sharing it for free once completed, but I just need to know the specific required details and code entry for each instance the gauge is used as it may be slightly different than I'm accustomed to. For example with Mindstar gauges each has a .ini file as well each instance of the gauge within a single panel config file is ordered / listed numerically and each instance also has to share the numerical ident= attributes for whichever [windowxx] it is placed on. I'm not guessing the weather radar will be quite that complex but I figured it might be very similar. Unfortunately this key information is not included in the user manual, only the information on using the auto-installation utility which is more likely only used for installing a single a pop-up and or only the VC install so I could not find where anyone has posted or answered this specific question on in-depth use with multiple gauge instances within a single panel config. Thanks for the help. I look forward to using this and in turn hope to help other people as well. Jeff.
  3. Hello everyone. First of all I went through the FAQ here First some background 1. I am very new to REX, less than a week old. I bought REX 4 with Softclouds and I installed this and have this running 2. I also bought REX Essentials + Overdrive as it was on sale and I could not find if the textures from 4 also have the ones from 3. My questions 1. Because I am going to install REX Essentials second (as REX 4 with SC is already installed) can I install it WITHOUT any textures ? I did read though you can go to texture settings on each and disable so if I untick all of REX Essentials textures, then it will never interfere with REX 4. Just wondering though if I can just install REX 3 Essentials without any textures at all. (to save hard drive space) 2. Does REX 4 already have all the REX 3 essentials/OD textures ? I know REX 4 has new ones of course but does it have all the REX 3 Essentials/OD ones ? Is this the case or does REX 3 essentials still have textures REX 4 Texture/SC does not have ? If REX 4 has everything 3 had, then installing the textures would be profligate. 3. If I am using the REX Essentials weather engine won't it lead to an odd situation where I have set textures in REX 4 that will not match weather situation detected by REX Essentials ? How will this work ? Or will the weather engine somehow know REX 4 is there and so use whatever sets I have installed ? 4. Besides the weather engine, is there a benefit of installing REX 3 Essentials ? It seems to have control over weather options like clouds etc that REX 4 does not have. Thank you wonderful support people and community
  4. Upon trying to install the program on a Win7 system running FSX Gold/Accel I can not install - get error message "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnelor package vendor" Order Number JXUGZXIBG Thanks for any help. Joe Lorenc
  5. REX4 TEXTURE DIRECT HD WITH SOFT CLOUDS FSX P3D I just purchased REX 4 and I'm having a very odd problem with running the installer. The file downloaded and I extracted it to my desktop. Inside the folder, I right-clicked on 'rexinstaller' and ran it as an administrator, but afterwards a small dialogue appears faster than I can read (it is not an error dialogue I don't think) , and then nothing happens.
  6. Hi Just installed WX Advantage Radar and had a couple of flights in various planes-FSX and P3Dv3.2-works well but odd cos not in instrument panel. I have Milviz B55 and C310 in both setups-latest versions. How do I get the Radar gauge to install into the Instrument Panel on these planes-I understand it is possible and would be much more realistic! xxd09
  7. Hi, Can someone please tell me what on earth I have to do to get some support from this company? I have provided my order number / receipt details using the appropriate thread on this problem and STILL my original question is being ignored. I am trying to get through to someone using create > new topic on this website but most categories are greyed out so I can't even ask my question in the right place. I have purchased a boxed version of REX 4 texture direct with soft clouds (The Flight Sim Store - #FSS0462437) which will not update itself. Every time I start the program it prompts me to update then when I try to run the .exe it fails, providing this message: "This installation package could not be opened. Verify the package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package" PLEASE, CAN A MEMBER OF REX STAFF RESPOND? Thanks.
  8. Hello, I too have been getting the exact same error for rexte2.cab and rexte1.cab in multiple downloads from both serves. Extremely frustrating and time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Windows 10. Thank you, Javier Castro
  9. Hi, I just purchased Texture Direct and am trying to download and install it. I have downloaded several times now from server 1 and two but when I run set up I get the following error: --------------------------- REX 4 - Texture Direct (with Soft Clouds) --------------------------- The cabinet file 'rexte1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. --------------------------- Abort Retry Ignore ---------------------------
  10. Greetings REX Team, I'm new to REX, and the FSX addon scene, so please excuse my ignorance right off the bat. I have purchased FSX Steam Edition, as well as REX 4 Texture Direct Steam Edition, and successfully installed both (as far as I can tell anyway). The thing is, I simply don't see any difference in what FSX looked like before the installation of REX, and what it looks like after. It just doesn't appear to be changing, well anything to be honest. This leads me to believe that it's simply not installing correctly. I've followed the installation guide, all seems to be well in regards to no errors being shown or anything obviously wrong. Just looking for some assistance in getting this up and running properly. Thanks in advance! System Specs: Windows 10 Pro Nvidia GTX 980 500gig Samsung SSD 16gigs DDR3 Also - UAC is disabled, Windows Firewall is disabled, no AV installed. I've attached a photo of my settings in hopes that it will be helpful.
  11. I have clicked the "Setup" application and I get this: Application cannot be started.... The error notes are below. I can not install Essentials Plus Overdrive. I have tried to install on another machine to test and the installer takes FOREVER to download files (like 10 hours) and when complete there is nothing there. How can I get this installed or a refund? I have emailed you and have not received a response either. Im not happy with this product or customer service and never had this much trouble with any software. Please help!!! ======= PLATFORM VERSION INFO Windows : 6.1.7601.65536 (Win32NT) Common Language Runtime : 4.0.30319.42000 System.Deployment.dll : 4.6.81.0 built by: NETFXREL2 clr.dll : 4.6.81.0 built by: NETFXREL2 dfdll.dll : 4.6.81.0 built by: NETFXREL2 dfshim.dll : 4.0.41209.0 (Main.041209-0000) SOURCES Deployment url : http://www.rexmarketplace.com/REXGS/rexdownloadmgr/rexdownloadmanagerlite.application Server : Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By : ASP.NET IDENTITIES Deployment Identity : rexdownloadmanagerlite.application, Version=1.0.0.15, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0c0358af2ea80ef5, processorArchitecture=x86 APPLICATION SUMMARY * Installable application. 12. Hello a few days ago I got a virus on my PC, a nasty little bug called Help_Decrypt which was attached to every single file on my PC, on three seperate drives. Neither my AVG virus software or malwarebytes could locate and removed the files. Installing ESET NOD32 however, did the trick....However, FSX could no longer run and kept giving me a sound.dll error. Uninstalling/reinstalling FSX SP1 and SP2 did not resolve the problem so I was forced to uninstall FSX...Nevertherless, REX4 texture worked just fine at this point. So I uninstalled and reinstalled FSX on the same dedicated SSD drive which was securely erased first, but not before I had removed all previous installation of any programs or addons that ran with FSX, including REX 4 texture direct which was installed on my C:\ root directory...not in Programs File(86). Currently, FSX with many of its addons is running beautifully. After FSX installation I went to my email found the REXstore product download which was purchased in January of this year. Proceeded to download (rextexturedirect_SP4). This downlaoded a very quick setup.exe file. When I ran this, it installed REX Download Manager. I ran the downlaod manager, selected my product, entered my key and took more than 3hrs to download. NOTE: Before I reinstalled FSX or or attempted to install REX, I disabled, AVG, Malwarebytes and NOD32 and double checked to make sure windows firewall was still disabled...It was. I ran REX installation, it completed and I ran it....What I got was a white splash screen and nothing else. Task manager indicated that it was not responding. I verified once again that nothing was blocking REX and there wasn't. I checked the REX files that were downloaded and what I saw was four (CAB files, 1,2,3,4, rextexture_2014120msi and setup.exe). So I uninstalled and reinstalled again...same thing... I decided to try the old files, that were downloaded way back in January. I was hesitant at first thinking it could be damaged somehow from the virus, but I noiced a distinct difference between the two downloaded packages. The one downloaded in January of this year contained more cab files. (CABS 1,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,110,111, rextexture_2014120msi and setup.exe)....Looking at the numbers, it appeared that both packages have some missing files.....In any case, I installed this package without errors, ran it and a white splash screen...not responding So now the question is, are files in fact missing and how can I download REX full package and get it up and running today......hopefully? By the way, I want to point out that when I ran REX aftrer installation on both packages, there was a splash screen with REX clouds etc, and showed that it was finalizing initialization. AFter that completed, then I got the white splash square box. Hope this isnt confusing See attached images Thanks Troy
  13. I recently downloaded REX Soft Clouds from the REX Store. My Order Number is EBWFELHXD. I got verified and I followed all the installation instructions and when I open FSX, the clouds look exactly the same. So I don't know what I did wrong. I restarted my computer, I uninstalled, reinstalled about 5 times, all the recommended settings are set, it's installed in its own folder outside of the Program Files (x86), I even bought it again in the FSPilotShop with the same results. I hope my issue could be resolved since this is the first time I'm buying an addon software other than planes. Thanks!
  14. Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum so please be patient with me. I'm having problems with installing REX Essential Plus with overdrive. I have had it on my machine before with no problems, I have attached my screen print of my problem. 16. After reinstalling fsx to my hard drive and reinstalling REX to exactly how your video explains,, the clouds are literally square, and there's tons of a red color all over the ground. I'm opening REX from the admin, I installed the update which is currently 7015 I believe, and Im opening fsx through REX. everything looks as it does on your video (as far as settings). I'm not sure why fsx isn't taking it. I also get 2 error messages when I go to open fsx through REX, but in the details, it says 0x8007007E Error, and there's another error saying something about JIT. I looked up the error and found that it may be related to directx. I currently have directx11 and it says it's running fine. Not sure what's going on. I'm really excited to have REX, for I'm a huge fsx fan, but still after almost 2 weeks, I still haven't been able to enjoy it. Please help. I've allowed REX permission through the firewall. I originally used the site to download the files using WinRAR, I also have a hard disc copy as well. Neither of them worked. I just downloaded the files from my original download link from where I purchased REX using the downloader you suggested in numerous posts. (Flashget), but I haven't tried to install that one yet. Do I need to unzip the CAB files in the folder they're downloaded in or not at all?? I installed fsx to my C drive. I also installed REX in its own folder on the C drive. I'm running Windows 8. I also just built this PC 3 weeks ago. I have an i5 Quad core processor with an Intel MSI motherboard, an ASUS 7870 DDR5 Graphics card, 8 GB of RAM (Corsair Vengeance), 1TB HD. FSX and REX are literally the only things I have on my hard drive. Still have over 850GB of free space. Please help me.
  17. Hi I have had to reinstall REX after a system rebuild and downloaded a new version from the website. I am now having issues with the program loading correctly. The original version of the software worked without any problems prior the rebuild. Now when I start REX as administrator I click the "Just Fly" button and the loading bar displays and everything looks to be loading correctly. When the load bar finishes it disappears but the option to start FSX and load weather fails to come up as it used to. A number of error logs have been produced and are listed below. ERROR TRAPING FOR REX ESSENTIAL Class Location: SystemXCopy2.xcopyBackupInitial Error: The device is not ready. ERROR TRAPING FOR REX ESSENTIAL Class Location: frmMain.runPreWeatherEngineCheck Error: The system cannot find the file specified ERROR TRAPING FOR REX ESSENTIAL Class Location: frmConvert.copyTexturesToFSX Error: The device is not ready. I understand that there are some updates but would like to confirm if this issue is related to not having the updates installed and if so what updates should I be applying. Look forward to seeing what suggestions can be offered to get this program working as it used to.
  18. I receive the following error immediately after launching REXEssentialPlusOD.exe as admin and I cannot proceed further with the installation: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bt) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." I downloaded REX - REX Essential PLUS w/OverDrive (REX-006) from FlightSim. I don't recall that FlightSim offered a 32 versus 64-bit versions of REX Essential so I wonder what obvious thing I'm missing here that is preventing installation?
  19. Hi I have purchased REX Essentials + OD but unable to install on Win7 64 bit. I get the following when I try Should I have got a specific version of this? There only seemed to be one option when I bought it... Also the PDF manual seems to be corrupted too so I can't view that either. Does anyone have any ideas suggestions? Thanks
  20. - Appplication installed fine. - Attempting to install textures, app stops responding at REX Texture Engine - Real Environment is running the cloud conversion batch. - I have waited for 30mins, no change. - Ctrl-Alt-del shows app as running. - Mostly at the file cumulus01.bmp - No errors in E:\REX Essential Plus Overdrive\ErrorLog Thanks in advance.
  21. Hello fellow REX community. I've just received a new SSD, and been installing all my addons for FSX the past days. I've now gotten around to installing REX, where I'm having some difficulties. I downloaded the wrapper to my storage drive, where I unzipped everything to a folder. I then ran the REXEssential.exe and started the installation. I change the default installation directory to a new folder in my other HDD, dedicated to FSX. It then runs the initial setup, but when it gets around to installing the actual stuff, it gives me the following message: http://i47.tinypic.com/2h3dlyh.png[/IMG] ( http://i47.tinypic.com/2h3dlyh.png ) I have been searching around on google, but have not found any solution that works for me. I'm at a loss of options, as I really can't install REX on my SSD, as it most likely will make it explode (metaphorically speaking, ofcourse) Thank for you taking your time to read this! - Lasse
  22. so I just downloaded REX essentials for the first time ever and while trying to install it, i try unzipping the files to decompress like any download i use for FSX, but they didn't unzip and create an unzipped folder, so im trying to trying to run the installer and it says that files are missing from this folder with a long name in the c: users; appdata; local temp; etc.. and it says to verify that they are there and retry, so after being frustrated i figured out how to manually install them and get it working....so far. But im running a windows vista 64 bit system and i thought i should point this out, as after spending 40 dollars on this, can be a bit scary and problematic.
