  1. This is a long-standing issue and I wonder if anyone at REX has any bright ideas. For years, I have had to put up with the problem of cirrus clouds having a horizontal cutoff line, as in the screenshot. This line moves up or down as you pan. It doesn't affect all the cirrus in the sky at any one time, but it is very evident whe n you pan and so very annoying. Plenty of others (AVSIM, Flightsim.com etc.) report this issue, so it's not peculiar to my FS9 setup. I have made countless changes to cloud draw distance, sight distance, FSUIPC and so on and so forth, but nothing has helped. I really think that I must have experimented with every possible permutation in the FS9 display settings, so I don't think the solution (if there is one) lies there. I have also tried using different cloud texture sets, and at first I thought softer had solved the issue - but it didn't seem to last long, the horizontal cutoff comes back after a couple of flights. The only thing I can do is to use FS9's weather options to remove cirrus clouds altogether, which seems a pity. Any suggestions welcome... I haven't had any luck over the years with other posts on this subject, but maybe this one.... Thanks.
  2. Hello , i just bought REX Essential Plus + OD yesterday , and upgraded it to the latest SP 3 build 3.8.2014.1126 today . i am very new to this , but i think the clouds are not been injected , as you can see in the screen shots , the water is fine , i also noticed that the runway is injected also , but the sun and clouds are not . i tried the standard mode and the normal mode , but both did not work , i also tried setting all settings to max in REX and FSX , i tried selecting the option fly now and let REX do all the work , and also tried creating a random theme , installing it and then fly , but all did not work , What am i doing wrong please ? thank you .
  3. Hello, I'm using REX Essential + OD and Soft Clouds, and I find all the clouds extremely transparent, both in FSX and Prepar3d. I get the feel I'm always aproching the cloud but never in it. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix it? I have all the settings as specified in the manual (full detailed clouds, etc). I find this problem extremely frustrating.
  4. I'm using REX already several year now, currently the latest version REX Essential Plus Overdrive 3.8.2014.1211 in FSX and Prepar3D 2.4 in standard mode. The refresh time of the weather is set to 6 min and the weather are to 6*6 (I have used other values but it doesn't make any difference). In both simulators the weather loading works initially very well. During flight I see that a new update of the weather is performed regularly which mostly works as intended. But sometimes (it happens at least one time during every flight), the result of the weather loading is wrong. Most clouds, mostly all, suddenly disappear. Sometimes the clouds behind the plane stay, while in front of the plane all clouds are gone. When the injection process is started again from the WX explorer window the clouds appear again. Also the wind changes sometimes dramatically when the clouds disappear. So I have the impression that the weather engine gets some wrong or incomplete information now and then. I have seen this behavior already with previous versions of overdrive and the new hotfix doesn't solve. This problem makes that I can never be sure that the displayed weather is real and it is very annoying. Best regards, Snoopy Order number: FSS0034593
  5. I just can not find where to download Rex4+Soft clouds that I paid!!!!!!! Making me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I recently downloaded REX Soft Clouds from the REX Store. My Order Number is EBWFELHXD. I got verified and I followed all the installation instructions and when I open FSX, the clouds look exactly the same. So I don't know what I did wrong. I restarted my computer, I uninstalled, reinstalled about 5 times, all the recommended settings are set, it's installed in its own folder outside of the Program Files (x86), I even bought it again in the FSPilotShop with the same results. I hope my issue could be resolved since this is the first time I'm buying an addon software other than planes. Thanks!
