  3. Hello guys, for a long time I am not happy with my water textures which are created by REX 4. I just see ocean water textures everywhere. There are no inland water textures. Neither in lakes nor in rivers. I have set "Low 2x" as water settings in FSX. Furthermore I am using Steves DX10 Fixer with the water settings attached. I have enabled all DX10 features in the REX 4 assistant. ORBX OpenLc and Vector is in use. The Lake Constance, Germany (would be nice to see how Lake Constance looks on your system): Rhein River, Switzerland: Steves DX10 Fixer water settings (even the preview picture shows what I mean): And my REX texture set which is correct installed: See the greenish/brownish inland water textures I choosed? I dont see them in FSX. Hope you guys can help me Thanks a lot Manuel
  4. Hi Community, I have got an issue with my runway textures while starting a new flight. It takes a few minutes until the REX textures pop-up and replace the stock textures. (Just the runway! Taxi, water, weather etc. is fine) It becomes really annoying if I start directly from the runway because sometimes I already took off before they appear. I'm running REX as admin and got the 3.7.2013.0715 build. Sorry if there's already a solution for this, i couldn't find it. Thanks
  5. This is probably a ridiculous question for some of you that are very conversant with REX textures and the weather engines. If I select an ICAO location i order to achieve real world weather conditions for the originating point of my flight, how does REX handle all the variables of weather conditions en route and at the destination airport? For example if my origin airport is clear skies and light winds and I encounter thunder storms en route and it is snowing at my destination, where does the weather engine draw the textures from if when we started the flight and loaded clear skies and light winds? Also, How does REX 4 handle the variable water textures along a route? If we load one type of water effect, will all bodies of water have that same effect regardless of whether they are a lake, river or ocean with different meteorlogical scenarios en route? Thanks for the clarification. Phil REX 4 Order Number: FSS0265268
  6. Hello! REX isn't loading textures into my FSX for a while now. It's loading and short time later the installation process seems to be finished successfully. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems, that only the water textures are always not installed. The error message in the log is always the following: ERROR TRAPING FOR REX ESSENTIAL Class Location: frmConvert.colorTexture Error: Ungültiger Parameter. I've installed Bojote's Shader 3 Mod, but this shouldn't be any problem, correct? Here are some screens: Selected textures: Textures in the sim: My options: You should find all other necessary information in my signature. (Edit: My REX version is 3.7.2013.0715) Thanks for helping! Seb
  7. Hey I've been reading the forums trying to figure out why I cannot install textures into P3D. I have purchased a P3D key and it is activated in REX. I keep getting this message when trying to install: I have tried to restore my settings by entering my username and password. It says it was successful but I still end up with the same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If you need more info let me know! Mike.
  8. Hello, I have a bit of a problem in that my texture panes are invisible. I can click on them, as I can see the mouse cursor change from arrow to hand as I hover over the blank area. Can anyone please help? Please see attached, which I hope helps. Even selecting the textures from the drop down does not help. Thanks, K-man
  9. I'm thinking go buying the above product to generally improve FSX airports with not too much outlay for individual ones. I understand that this product has it's own runway textures. Will this conflict with REX textures in any way? Has anyone else used the two products together? Can anyone recommend other airport products of a global nature? Thank you all for your help.
  10. Hi, I've been using REX for a couple of months now but have now decided to create my own textures instead of just using the random settings. This may seem like a dumb question or perhaps obvious to more seasoned users, but question is this: Will my textures only be used in the correct circumstances? What I mean by this is, for example if I like the look of a particularly nice storm cloud will that cloud texture only be used when the meteorological circumstances dictate? Or if I'm flying through a ridge of high pressure, will REX use my cirrus clouds? I hope that makes sense. Any news on service pack 2? I have the problem of rapidly changing cloud formations that just look very unrealistic. Thanks for your help, I've learnt a lot more already just browsing through the forums.
