  1. I have had Skyforce for some months now. I have used REX Weather from the earliest version right up until SkyForce was introduced. I run a standard HP PC with a dual core processor and Win7 64bit O/S and use FSX Acceleration. I have limited RAM and VIDEO GPU capacity. My experience so far has been great. The product works as advertised. The user interface is simple and easy to use and has many features such as briefings, flight following etc that it has taken time to appreciate. I have experienced no major issues with memory demands when using FSX and I am continuously impressed by the quality of the weather display and I am very happy with the texturing. In short compared to previous products, this one is a winner and has improved my simulator experience significantly. I cannot imagine not having it now. I have had no issues with SkyForce and it has worked perfectly. Well done.
  2. Hi REX Support team, I'm one of your FSS customers - I have been trying for a few days to email your support team at support@rexgamestudios.com but my emails keep getting bounced back saying there is no user 'support' at rexgamestudios.com It's being generated by an Office365 mail server, so you might need to go and give it a good hard kick If there's a different address to send to, please message or email me. Thanks, Adrian Esdaile
  3. Dear REX, I have the REX TD, REX SF3D and REX Airports all for FSX, If I will move for P3D platform, will these products work there or there will be additional costs for that? Best regards
  4. With the demise of The FlightSim Store, is there a process to convert my purchases with them over to your system so I can re-download if needed?
  5. I own REX 4 Texture Direct, and Soft Clouds, and I can see I can get a 15% discount on upgrade to REX Skyforce, but do I also get the 50% Black Friday discount = total 65% on buying it now? Regards Jlund
  6. Hello guys, I am new to fly simulation and a new member on this forum, please accept my apologies for my ignorance and if this is not the right place for my question. I just installed REX4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds - Enhanced Edition, everything is running perfect but I notice that there still 2 folders in my computer C: drive. one is the folder of the "REX download manager" and the other is the "rexdownload" folder that contains 8.23GB. My question is: Can this folders be deleted without causing any negative effect on the installation of REX4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds - Enhanced Edition? in other words, Can I delete this folders? Greatly appreciate your help in advance. Axel
  7. Hello. Since the project has been in development for years and on hold, maybe add the opportunity for it to work with X-Plane 11 as well, as it's the rising future simulator right now. We know the same architecture is used among FS and P3D, but that architecture is quite archaic. XP11 being more recent, allows for a better experience. Any positive thoughts on this?
  8. Hello, I have been a REX user for over 7 years now and I am currently eyeing the jump from FSX to P3D. Back in 2011 when I purchased the first product, I chose REX Essentials Plus with the OD Texture Pack. After download, it was then choose your textures and settings ... and forget it. Everything from that day forward worked impeccably without issues. A true 'set it and forget it' program as long as FSX was launched through REX. I had ground textures for runways, grass, parking, tarmac, and roads at all airports. I had water textures and animations everywhere. I had a plentiful variety of wonderful cloud textures, sky textures, colors and sun and moon textures all day (and night). Furthermore, I had a very nice weather engine providing me with some of the most realistic weather conditions the sim world has ever seen, from the clearest blue skies to the densest fog, from the cutest cumuli to the most menacing dark thunderstorm clouds. Even today, when I post my sim pics on line, I often get asked what weather engine and textures I use. So now, I figure over the next 6 months I will make the jump to P3D, and would like to get the same REX Essentials w/OD installed there. However, I can't find this 'all in one' program anymore. Ok, so I figured with progress being what it is, perhaps the amount of textures have become overwhelming to be all included in such an 'all in one' program, so perhaps the REX developers opted to put them all into one separate program. Fair enough. Perhaps maybe two programs ? I quickly found out - REX Texture Direct 4 for the ground and water textures and REX Skyforce for all the sky and cloud textures. Simple enough, but where's the newest weather engine ? The soon to be released Weather Force must be the newest weather engine everyone's talking about. OK, simple enough - I just buy REX TD4, Skyforce and Weather Force (once it's released) , and I have essentially a greatly enhanced and updated REX E w/OD containing all the ground, water and sky textures along with the weather engine, right ? Well, actually, no. As it turns out REX TD4 has ground and sky/cloud textures but no weather engine. OK, so one then purchases REX Skyforce to get the engine, but wait ...... there's no ground and water textures in Skyforce. So now to cover the bases one has to own both REX TD4 and Skyforce and inactivate the duplicate cloud textures in REX TD4 as Skyforce is touted to have the latest cloud and sky textures. The upcoming Weather Force will apparently have a more fluid and improved weather change pattern in it's weather engine (as per info from sim conferences), which will most likely cause the engine in Skyforce to become 'the older sibling', and if one wants it, then they have to consequently inactivate it in Skyforce, and download the Weatherforce software version. As much as I like REX and it's products, I feel a bit confused by the release protocol of the various addons, which essentially forces sim folk to download several products and then inactivate the duplicates in order to cover all the bases from the standpoint of having the latest and best airport ground textures, water texures, sky/sun/moon/cloud textures, and weather engine. Would it not be easier to just break these down into several different downloadable products that would each complement one another (without duplication) and have the simmer then choose how basic or complete they want their sim to look and download the corresponding product(s) ? I love REX products and will continue to support REX down the road. I just wish the products were a bit more easier to understand, complemented each other and had no duplications between them. This way I feel even subsequent updates would be easier to put out, regardless of whether it's a revised weather engine, or water textures. (I also certainly wish REX would look into water shaders and offer some program to change the 'milky' water appearance of water for those who still use FSX.) Food for thought, anyway, from a somewhat confused, but loyal REX customer. Cheers, MZ.
  9. Will REX come out with an update that lets you customize individual airports? soon? I am very disappointed that they do not have this Without individual customization much of the mods don't make sense, for example.... seeing the Frontier hangers you put in a US airport, in Guangzhou or Rome certainly isn't realistic.
  10. Hello, Please, can you answer few question I have regarding to these two products? REX Sky Force 3D Can I use it on FSX and P3D in one time. In situation I have FSX and P3D in one PC? Can I use it on multiple PC, I have main gaming one and laptop with FSXSE on it. What If i need reinstallation, is there any activation needed? Does this product contain also Texture direct and soft clouds? REX4 Texture Direct with soft clouds I have the same questions on this product :) Thank you forward.
  11. (My apologies for accidentally posting this in "Suggestions"). Am deciding to get Sky Force 3D working again instead of giving up. We'll see. My query is: Why does my video specs box in REX Sky Force say " Intel HD Graphics 4600 " instead of my NVidia GTX 1070 ? I do have both enabled in my Device Manager and both display in DXDIAG but shouldn't my GTX 1070 be displayed in Sky Force specifications primarily ? My thanks for any help or advice.
  12. Hi, I purchased REX TD from fss. I’m now looking at sky force but obviously with the situation at fss, I can’t obtain the 15% discount as a previous purchaser. Do I have any options here? thanks, glenn.
  13. well one of the reasons, but I just love the constantly different stuff I see in the sky, two shots from a very long flight today.....just brilliant, thank you REX people....
  14. Some times there are things we just have to get off our mind. As a flight simmer for over 30 years I was fascinated by REX 2.0 when it came out in 2009. The textures etc. were something I never experienced before. Realistic clouds and better frame rates were unheard of to my memory. So, when REX was looking for beta testers for the upcoming REX Essentials, I was accepted to be one. At that time there really was only two platforms for the FS world. FSX and X Plane. So, in 2011 the testing began. One would think that an assembled group of testers would be able to work seamlessly with no problems. Ah, I learned that is not true. Tester lived all over the world in different time zone and most had a regular job. I was retired and had ample time. But, back then we somehow did work together to test the builds that we were given to test and of course report any problems etc. Not that easy 7 years ago. Much has changed. REX E was released and for the most part wasn't that bad. The developers would take the information from those who were using the program and improved it until they finally released REXE+OD which to this day is a great application. With each upgrade, there was no charge for the owners of the original application. Of course over the next 7 years we would go on to test many other products. We had beta tester come and go and even sadly one that passed away suddenly. I am no longer testing for REX, but I would like the FS community to know that it has been a great pleasure working with Reed and Tim and the rest of the team over the past seven years. They are the most honest, giving, kind people I have had the pleasure of working with. I owned my own business before retiring and my thought was that my reputation for what I did would reward me in the future. Reed and Tim in my opinion, go to extremes to make their public happy. Great support etc. and a great product. So, just a very heartfelt thanks to Tim and Reed to work on so many great products over the past 7 years. Thank you both and all others at REX Game Studios. Regards: Bob G.

    RESOLVED REX laditude

i purchased REX laditude just not sure how to find it these days
  16. Thought to check in on the SimAir threads to see if anything regarding this product would be posed after fsexpo, but the threads seem to be taken down. It would be disappointing as this product really could've added a lot to the environment of the simulator.
  17. Long time REX supporter here, just want to let the REX team know that they have done an amazing job on this wonderful add on, well worth the investment!! GREAT JOB REX TEAM!!!
  18. Hi all Thanks for Sky force 3D Over the years I have had many weather add-ons and enjoyed all of them. However I feel Sky force 3D tops the lot. I don't usually use any live weather engine but the variety of clouds with SF3D is amazing. Thanks and keep up the good work. Bob
  19. Silly I know. That song just popped in to my head when i started writing the title. Sincerely, thanks REX for your continued support of your customers through constant updates to your excellent products. It is much appreciated by many. Just recently we have received updates to Texture Direct, Sky Force 3D, Worldwide Airports, and now the WX Radar, and everything is working and looking great. Looking forward to your future developments. Cheers, Scott
  20. My alibi: I'm not a power user of FSX:Steam nor am I up to speed with the REX product line. I own REX 4 Texture Direct (with Soft Clouds). I just bought Sky Force 3D and World Wide Airports HD. Do these two new (to me) products effectively replace TD? Or does TD still add something not found in SF3D and WWAHD? Any clarification would be appreciated.

Hello: I purchased a product from the REX store. When I log into my account, I can see the order but there are no links to download. How do I download a prior purchase? Thanks, Aaron Ortega

    RESOLVED Purchase enquiry

Hi team, When does the Texture Direct + Soft Clouds sale end? And what currency is your web-store? There's nothing to suggest the currency, could be AUD, USD, NZD... Should really write "AUD 24.95" to clarify. Thanks.
  23. Hi guys, It's been quite a long time since you mentioned your upcoming support for X-Plane. I use Skyforce with P3D currently and am still amazed with the quality but my main simulator is X-Plane as it has so much more quality to offer, except for the weather system and textures. Come on fellas, there are heaps of peeps out there just waiting to part with their hard earned cash and we have waited long enough. X-Plane is fast becoming the best flight sim out there and you need to get on board before someone else comes along and nicks your potential customer base... Cheers for listening (and hopefully replying)
  24. hi, i would like to ask if worldwide airports hd enchase every default (and small) airport of p3d v4. or only specific airports? more im interesting for lgsa airport that till now no exist any 3rd party developer who made an improvement. is it going to be different if i buy the worldwide airports hd? also is it possible to use the library object of your product with ADE? thank you
  25. I have it installed but when i click on the icon it takes forever to do something and when it does it gives me a .NET error.
