  1. REX Version: 3.4.2014.1126 Simulator: P3D V2.5 FSUIPC Version: 4.939 Rate at which weather changes over time in the Sim, set to NO CHANGE... Thanks Metal, I'll take a look in the settings and see what I can change in regards to that...
  2. Had an interesting thing happen on my flight from CYYJ to Anchorage.... I'm crusing along at 28k feet... REX injects the weather... next thing I know... I've crashed mid air... I noticed the plane jarred heavily right before the crash, so it was something with the ''new'' or ''updated'' weather.... Anyway to adjust to make it more gradual instead of a sharp HERE IS YOUR NEW WEATHER!
  3. Sorry for the delay. I am still getting the error randomly. Maybe I should just uninstall and re-install REX?
  4. Will do, thank you.
  5. Yes, P3 2.5... is this an issue? Should I install the older one? I'm not exactly sure which version of Sim Connect I am using...
  6. lol, you make it sound like this should never happen? I am starting REX. I click the weather tab at the top, it brings up the configure weather load proceedure window, I click on use real weather... then Ok, then fly now. It starts to load the weather radar and P3D... P3D will get about 90% loaded and then the error pops up. It may have seemed to clear itself up somehow, doesn't seem to be happening now..... But, what does it mean?
  7. Anyone know what this .NET Framework Error means? Just started popping up out of no where... 8. Hello Guys, I currently use P3D v2.5. I recently re-downloaded and installed REX Essential Plus HD SP3. When the sim launches after pressing fly now in REX there is a really long (two minutes or so) pause after loading the regular weather. The information line (the green one) states something to the effect of Loading Psudo Stations please wait. While its doing this, it pretty much locks up the sim. This never happened before... Did I select something this time I shouldn't have? lol.
  9. Thanks for the information. I'll try the cloud settings. The current version number is 3.3.2013.0715
  10. Hey Admin, What is the Metar String in REX? Also, I'm pretty sure I have my clouds on medium to high density in P3D... Either way, I would think it would display a bit better than what I got... Lemme know what that is your asking about and I'll try to get it to you.
  11. So, I hopped in my P3 today to do some hurricane hunting SW of Bermuda, considering it is the biggest Atlantic Ocean storm in a while. I thought it would be fun to go and try to fly through it.... I am disappointed in the RW version of what REX presented. The storm at the time was roughly 415nm SW of Bermuda headed NE to the island... The images below show me about 315nm SW of Bermuda which should have put me right in the middle of the storm or very near... This is what i got instead... Any suggestions? Maybe I needed to tweak something? http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2014/10/16/gCn3.jpg http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2014/10/16/8CI4o.jpg
  12. It seems to be working as intended. I haven't had any issues since. I appreciate the watchful eye. You can delete or close this if you need.
  13. If I set REX visability to say, 20 miles, does the RW option override that with the current visibility or does it maintain the 20 miles I've set? Thanks!
  14. Hello! I ran into a problem today while flying, REX loaded the weather just fine each time for about 30 minutes... Then it started giving me the pop up saying the weather could not be loaded, please make sure the file exists... Any particular reason for this? Odd, never mind... It seemed to start injecting the weather again on it's own after a few times...
  15. Hello gain Galen! Well, I went through the text there and adjusted the UAC, my Avast AV, set the user account permissions for all accounts, and added it to Windows Firewall. One of those seemed to do the trick... as you can see in the images below. It's nice to actually see what REX can do now! Thank you very much for all of your assistance. The RW weather loaded just as it should have for the area of CYCD (without choosing it in the weather settings of REX) at 2pm CST. Thank you again! Just out of curiosity, why does REX strongly suggest P3D and REX not be installed into the Program Files (x86) folder, considering that's the default?
  16. No problem at all. REX seems to load all the other things, the sky textures, the water, the runways, parking etc... Just the weather seems to not be working correctly. While your reviewing it, please consider this question as well? Do I need to install the textures I have chosen every time I fly, meaning do I need to run REX and install the textures I've picked each time I want to run the sim, or does installing them just once do the trick until I decide to change them? Also, do I need to set cloud layers myself, or does the real world weather (When it works...) do that? The reason I ask is I only get two layers of clouds... the puffy cotton ball types at lower altitudes and the whispy ones in the upper atmosphere. Anyway, thanks for the help so far guys, I'll away your answers.
  17. Hello Galen! Thanks for the reply. It ''kind of worked''.... REX did load the sim after applying the simconnect.exe (By the way, what does that do?) however, as you can see in the picture, it failed to load weather. Whats next!? By the way, I work 12 hour night shifts this whole weekend, so I will not be able to reply until Monday.
  18. Hey Guys, I have a problem with REX Essential Plus. When I click Fly Now after setting everything I want set... I get the error listed below in the image. Initially you might think it is because my .NET Framework is out of date? But I currently have 4.5.1 installed. Sorry about the size of the image. I am guessing it is something related to the weather engine, but I am not sure. Since that is the second part of my question, when I fly P3D after setting up and loading all my textures and downloading the RW weather through the REX app (And making sure use RW weather is checked....), wheather or not I use the fly now button or hit cancel and load P3D manually through the P3D short cut, REX doesn't seem to load the RW weather. I tested it today flying north of Detroid where a huge storm was around 2pm CST. All that was displayed in terms of clouds and weather in general was a roughly 30 mile visibility and about half cloud coverage on two layers, the cumulous layer at about 5k feet and the stratus layer higher up... nothing near what the storm should have been.... So, what am I doing wrong? I've read through the included help PDF, but I seem to be missing something. Any help you guys can provide me, especially with this error would be great. I am REALLY looking forward to some RW weather flying! Thank you very much!!
