  1. Hi Dave, Thank you! For REX 2, you can upgrade to REX Essential Plus (REX 3) at no cost, and if you are interested in this let me know. However, this is considered a "legacy" product at this point, though it still works very well. REX Sky Force contains a new weather engine and new sky and cloud textures, just as REX Essential does. However, it also contains new cloud models, which eliminate common issues such as repeating clouds, upside down clouds, and the like. It does not contain water or airport textures, so if that is important to you REX Essential can cover those elements. Let me know how I can assist you further!
  2. Hi there, Please do the following: STEPS FOR GIVING FULL CONTROL: 1 - Right-click on the REX main folder (i.e C:\REX...) and click on the Properties option 2 - Click on the Security Tab, and select your user profile from the list provided. Click the EDIT button to give Full Control rights. Then click the APPLY button and OK button to complete your action. 3 - Perform steps 1 and 2 on your main FSX or P3D folders. IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR USER PROFILE NAME ON THE LIST PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING: From the Security Tab Window 1 - Click the EDIT button, then click the ADD button. 2 - In the new pop-up window "Select Users and Groups", click the ADVANCED button. 3 - In the new pop-up window click the "FIND NOW" button. In the list below select your username you log into windows that have Administrative Rights. 4 - Click the OK button, then click the OK button again. 5 - Then in the list in the "Permissions..." window select the name you added and give Full Control rights. 6 - Then click the APPLY button and OK button. 7 - Perform steps 1 - 6 on your main FSX or P3D folders.
  3. Hi Dave, First, this is posted in the FS2004 forum but you mention REX 2, which is an FSX product. Can you confirm which simulator you are using?
  4. We have not tested Essential with P3D v4, so I can't confirm or deny anything. It is not officially supported. P3D v4 introduced very big changes to the platform, and we cannot guarantee that REX Essential's functions will perform adequately. You have a few issues with your Configuration Manager, should you plan on trying to use it: 1. Your simulator location does not look correct - unless you really have your full P3D v4 install in D:\New Folder 2. You have no profile name listed. You had to have a profile created in order to purchase the P3D upgrade, so you may want to click the Forgot Username/Password link under the Backup and Restore buttons.
  5. Hi everyone, Please see here for new update statuses: Thank you all for your patience and suggestions.
  6. Hi Danny, REX Essential is not compatible with P3D v4, only through v3. I would personally recommend looking at REX Sky Force and/or REX Texture Direct if you plan on using P3D v4.
  7. Just send an email to support@rexgamestudios.com Please provide a link to this post in your email. Thank you!
  8. Under what context are you needing your user information? What simulator are you using?
  9. In that case, I would direct you to pp. 18-19 of the REX Essential manual: under Configuration Manager -> General, if you click the Backup button under Backup/Restore Configuration, you should be able to create your account. Do you see that?
  10. Hi Danny, Have you created a restore account in REX Essential in the past? This is not the same as your SimMarket account information.
  11. Hi there, The license you have through Steam does not allow for usage with the full version of Texture Direct, which is what is required for use with P3D. You will need to purchase the full version from one of our vendors.
  12. Sounds great Mike, let us know if you have any more questions!

  21. One quick check: is your display scaling set to 100%?
  22. It is Ground Services X, which is a program that can conflict with the vehicle models of Worldwide Airports. But you would know if you were running it. Can you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing in sim?
  23. Hi there, In the Worldwide Airports folder you should see two installation logs in there. Please upload the install log for the models here.
