  1. SUBJECT: Status Update on Technical Updates
    TYPE: UPDATE
    LEVEL: HIGH
    DATE: Saturday, September 14, 2019

    TOPIC:

All the files for Sky Force have passed initial testing for release.  We will begin to up load over the weekend.

We are testing the full install for Worldwide Airports and are having to recompile.  The patch passed, but the full build did not.  Once we confirm the install and operation we will start to upload it to our servers.

The final test will be on Environment Force. We hope to have this shortly after we resolve the issue with Worldwide Airports.

Our next target release for the patches and full builds are: Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

    We will keep you advised.

    Thank you for your patience.

    ISSUE:

Not seeing the mini ui when starting the simulator or receiving a dll.xml error message.

    SOLUTION:

If you are not experiencing the mini ui within your simulator, please perform the following procedure:

Step 1 - Please make sure your simulator and Environment Force are closed.

Step 2 - Please uninstall Environment Force

Step 3 - Please make a backup of the dll.xml file located in the {drive name}:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 folder.  The delete the original.

IMPORTANT: If you delete the original and you have other 3rd party add-ons that use the DLL.xml, they will no longer work.  You will need to restore your original DLL.xml file.

Step 4 - Restart your sim and let it rebuild the dll.xml file.

Step 5 - After the sim is started close it out.

Step 6 - Re-install Environment Force, start it and register it.

Step 7 - Start your simulator.

Yes I know Reed. Thanks anyway for that work around. What makes me mad is that your colleagues are keep asking if it is solved. Then when the users don't react in time they would close the issue without fixing it? That is how it seems to me. Why they ask if you should know as a company that there wasn't a fix for it? Something seems not to work well on your tracking reports. Maybe you, Reed,  can optimize the communication a little bit? This is kindly asked and not a rude statement. But I really think this would help to get trust from your customers. Thanks for reacting and making it transparent again (I am a Project leader, Product Owner amd Scrum Master from profession......) transparency always helps. Best regards and looking forward to a fix. Marcus

Thank you for your words.  What you bring up is why we are moving to a single ticketing system.  The forums are just too messy to try to do support properly.  We hope to have the fix resolved soon.

I installed the program but just installed the vehicles part. I still had 19gb taking up my C drive for no reason. That's just what I was hoping not to do so now I have uninstalled the program.

The program is all one package.  You cannot install one part without the other.

just before "data syncro weather " always my sim was tun for 2/3 seconds ... but i hope you find why ..!

I think this post got off course.  What you are saying is that for 2 to 3 seconds the sim stops during weather injection.  This is with the new "grid" weather engine engaged - correct?
