  1. I am currently flying the Milviz DHC-3 Turbo Otter (latest version). I also own the full version of WX Advantage Radar (Update 7) on P3D v4.5 hotfix version. When I select the mode or range switches with the mouse wheel it skips every other selection making it impossible to select the range or mode you want. For instance, I can switch mode from OFF to WX to MAP, but I cannot select TEST or WX/T. Same with range knob. I can only select 5, 20, 80, & 160. Oddly, it does not skip from 80 to 160 and I cannot select 320. I uninstalled WX Radar and installed the new Update 7 version 2-3 weeks ago. I don't think I realized a problem in the MilViz C310R, which I think is the only other aircraft with WX Radar I've flown since. It could be I did not really need it and so did not realize a problem that might have been there, but now I am in a very cloudy, rainy Alaska in the mountains and need the radar. I just uninstalled and reinstalled WX Advantage Radar again and the issue remains. Is this a known issue? I also noticed a few Gauge errors in my DHC-3 gauges of Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files\ContentErrors.txt , which I cannot figure out. These began with the DHC-3 Turbo only after installing the WX Radar Update 7. Take a look starting at Error 73. The other errors are due to duplicate sound and effects files that I need to clean up. I also attached the Panel.cfg from the Milviz DHC-3 Turbo panel.cfg ContentErrors.txt
  2. Crap! I haven't even had the chance to install the version they just got working for V4.3. I guess they will get v4.4 working about the time v4.5 comes out. I have yet to EVER use my WX Advantage Radar since I bought it.
  3. Great. I look forward to being able to finally use i t. Something I should note. I have a couple of Milviz aircraft which come with restricted, but fully functional versions of WX Advantage Radar and they work great in my P3Dv4.3. I have never been able to get the full version WX Advantage Radar I purchased to even load an aircraft with the WX Radar installed without an immediate CTD. This seems quite odd.
  4. And . . . . . . (drum roll)
  5. Is there any word on a fix for this? I bought WX Advantage Radar and it has NEVER worked. Crashed P3Dv4 from the start. We're at least two months past that. Should I just get a refund?
  6. I have had my fill of disappointments with REX. Naruto-Kun sent me a new file to test for the WX Advantage Radar CTD issue with P3Dv4.3 and so I tried to reinstall WX Advantage Radar to test it. As happens more often than not the REX servers are down and I am unable to install the product. It tells me it cannot verify my serial number. I also tried running the REX File Transfer Manager and it also fails to run due to the down servers. I am serious, more often than not the servers are down when I try to use them over the past month since I bought my first REX product. If it's that difficult for REX to keep a server running then I would suggest installing a second server and having the product installers check both. This is highly frustrating and I will not be inclined to buy another REX product due to this issue.
  7. Since my P3D install has had no issues after uninstalling the WX Advantage Radar package I will be happy to test any new version you come up with. I am extremely careful not to corrupt my P3D installation because there's not much more frustrating than random crashes and having to reinstall. It seems odd that you cannot replicate the problem because I have a very plain Windows 7 SP1 installation with nothing but P3D and associated add-ons as previously listed as well as the requisite programs like .NET, etc. There is very little else installed on this PC and nothing that runs while I am running P3D. I have Malwarebytes installed, but I don't usually run it when running P3D and I also have all P3D & Add-on related directories excluded in case I do leave it running. All my programs that are p3D related in which I had choice are running outside of the "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" directories. There is one program that comes to mind that startup every time P3D starts; it is called LogiPrepared.exe and is related to one of my many joystick/input devices I use, the Saitek X52 Pro with the latest Logitech drivers for it. I also use the Thrustmaster H.O.T.A.S. Warthog throttle/joystick, but I have never installed the drivers for it since I now use FSUIPC for programming all my inputs. I just installed Belarc Advisor on this PC to run a report of all installed HW/SW. I will try to PM it to you. Maybe it will help you pin down the culprit. ETA PM Sent!
  8. I purchased WX Advantage Radar a few weeks ago knowing it would soon be available for P3Dv4.3 My Order reference is : TGGZSAUXF I installed it today on a beautifully functioning installation of Prepar3D v4.3. I have never had a single crash with it prior to today. Upon my first attempt to run P3D it crashed as soon as I tried to begin a flight with any plane, even the Milviz Cessna 310R. The module that it said caused the crash was weather.dll, which is a Lockheed Martin base P3D file. I tried it 10 times and all of the attempts crashed almost instantly. I then tried removing the weather radar gauge from the planes I was trying to load and it still crashed. Then I removed the entire WX Advantage Radar package from my PC and P3D is now running fine again. I have absolutely no desire to play beta tester for this product. I am happy to wait a few more weeks for another update that doesn't crash and try again, but if it doesn't work soon I will expect my money back. I will provide a list of all installed add-ons on my very fresh install of P3D. These are the only add-ons ever installed on this P3D installation. All of them are paid for, properly registered, and not pirated. I have the following Add-ons installed (ALL latest versions as detailed): Almost all ORBX products made (latest versions), except for airports. Pilot's - FS Global Ultimate - Next Generation v1.0 Active Sky (ASP4) v6773 (AIRAC 1601) Active Sky Cloud Art v6452 (SP2 + Hotfix 083117) Ultimate Traffic Live v1.1.0.0 Milviz - 310R Redux for FSX and P3D PMDG DC-6 Base Package for Prepar3D PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II Base Package for Prepar3D Milviz - DHC-3T Turbo Otter Standard Edition Flight1 King Air B200 Version 2 Accu-sim C182 Skylane (P3D Academic) ChasePlane v0.4.217 Beta Exp. PrecipitFX (Dec 26, 2017 version) TrackIR v5.4 FSUIPC v5.14 About a dozen MegaSceneryEarth products, but I usually fly with these disabled. Maybe a dozen other airports from my old FSX install, but I do not have these enabled. WX Advantage Radar (REMOVED) I have a very robust PC setup that maintains 30-60+ FPS with most setting cranked up and running at 4K. i7-4790K, 32GB DDR3-2133 RAM, GTX-1080i SC2 w/11GB DDR4 RAM. Running on Windows 7 SP1 with nothing but P3D and its add-ons installed on two Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SSD's. Downloaded packages stored on a separate 10TB RAID1 drive. Even at this very busy airport it never dips below 30fps.
