- Included in REX for X-Plane is a tool named WASys, (Weather Avoidance System), which allows you to view the current, real-world weather. Within the WASys, you may view an overlay of Radar, Storm, Turbulence or Icing.
It might look innocent, but when you look at our storm scope guage you see it's truly a line of storms, how severe the turbulence and wind shear may be and possible hail and icing levels. With our new WAT system you will be able to look at the weather surrounding your flight path. With the WASys you are able to get a graphical view of the weather, not just text. That way you can see what you are about to fly into. You can view precipitation levels, turbulence, icing and possible areas of hail, and lightning detection.
With the use of the ISWP we allow the user to graphically view current weather conditions, giving the pilot more tools to decide on their best flight plan. The user can now click on other areas of the map and move to a region of weather to zoom in to see what is happening.
