We have created new tools that allow you to view your weather across the world. You might see on the radar a line of precipitation, but with the WAT tool you can see into the heart of the line of precipitation.

It might look innocent, but when you look at our storm scope guage you see it's truly a line of storms, how severe the turbulence and wind shear may be and possible hail and icing levels. With our new WAT system you will be able to look at the weather surrounding your aircraft as you fly. Or, if you want to look at your destination or alternate airport weather, you can in a flash! With the WASys you are able to get a graphical view of the weather, not just text. That way you can see what you are about to fly into. You can view precipitation levels, wind and wind shear conditions, turbulence, icing and possible areas of hail, and lightning detection. With the WASYS you can also view areas that are forecasted to have severe turbulence and convective activity.

With the use of the ISWP we allow the user to graphically view their flight plan and integrated the key weather elements. Thus, the pilot has more tools to decide on their best flight path. The user can now click on other areas of the map similar to many of the new online mapping features today and move to a region of weather to zoom in to see what is happening. In REX 2.0 you can now see the weather that is being inputed into Flight Simulator. Like many gauges in real aircraft you can view the weather conditions as you fly. The REX 2.0 Weather Engine also has integrated the ability to receive realistic PIREPS reports within FSX as you fly. Thus, this gives the pilot information about upcoming conditions to divert if needed.
