Many thanks for the update Tim, while I eagerly await the release of this fantastic update - er new product really - , I realize much probably has to go into it , and really appreciate you guys taking the attitude of making sure it is as solid as it can be, when you do release it to the masses. Nowadays, that really is the exception rather than the norm , and it is much appreciated!

Since everybody is telling you to take your time, why don't you just put it aside and do the FS9 version?

Now THAT sounds like a great idea.

Yes it really look fantastic ,& a free upgrade also makes it exceptional , REX v 2 overdrive was the best money spent on fsx. So as others have said take all the time you need to get it right, good luck.

Thank you for the update. I fully understand that.

Rather take yourself the time needed to get this one right in the first place, than having to deal with several SP´s shortly after the launch :)

And by the way, I really hope that an FS9 version of this fantastic upgrade is in the pipeline.. Still, take your time to get it right. I can wait.

Best Regards,
Anders

What TAPH said + some! Before I upgraded my hardware all my weather was default FSX in Clear or Fair Weather. Now that I can run FSX at max settings and use REX, flying in real weather is like being there!
You guys do an AWESOME job! Thanks!

Folks,

We are uploading to our testers what very well might be the release candidate of REX Essentials.

The version we developed and currently in testing is the FULL version of REX Essential. From this version we will be compiling the actual update for all REX2 2.3.2010.1027 users. Following that will be compiling the FULL version of REX Essential OverDrive, and then from there we'll be creating the update patch for users with version 2.5.2010.1027.

Below is the order in which they will be ready and available:

1. REX Essential FULL version
2. REX Essential Update for current REX2 customers with version 2.3.2010.1027
3. REX Essential OverDrive FULL version
4. REX Essential OverDrive Update for current REX2+OD customers with version 2.5.2010.1027

Hello captains,
At this moment I am working on clean installation of my PC, start at the bottom.
I REX 2.0 is not installed, I'm waiting for REX Essential
What is the best way to install REX Essential?
1e. REX 2.0 and thereafter on top of REX Essential Update? of
2e. REX 2.0 + OverDrive and thereafter on top of REX Essential Update? of
3e. REX Essential FULL version and then OverDrive?
please your advice.
Yours sincerely
waw

So, if we are using OverDrive already, we should wait until the 3 or 4 edition where the new REX Essential will come with Overdrive? It it means days of difference, I sure won't wait for that =p
