Been a while...

Took a flight this evening to Green Bay.  Here's the wintery scenery I saw along the way.

The city was named after the Menominee Chief Oshkosh. DJ thank you for posting pics of my US home area in WI.

@CG - Kind of my area too, as I'm just over in Middleton - a suburb of Madison.  Have you seen some of my Real Life shots from around S.WI?  Like this one from Oshkosh?

I have quite a few more, some on this board.

@Kees - Yes.  As CG mentions, the Menominee are responsible for the Oshkosh name, and are one of many Native American tribes indigenous to Wisconsin.  For your reading enjoyment:  http://en.wikipedia....kosh,_Wisconsin and http://en.wikipedia....Venture_Oshkosh

MY BAD!
That real-life pic was from the Outagamie County Regional Airport at Appleton.

THESE are from a wintertime touch and go through Oshkosh.

That must have been awesome!  I did get one ride in an Air Force T-33 trainer while in the service, but never got to be part of regular training exercises.  I was a weather satellite jockey in the Air Force.  Actually a computer dude, but my outfit was responsible for the polar-orbiting weather satellites of the day.
