Hi Paul and thank you for your reply.

First you'll see that I modified your signature. We only need your REX order number and no others. What addons you purchased is out of our interest, only REX does.

First I don't want to be offence against you or someone else, I only want to explain the meaning of my reply.

In the forum rules, there's noted that every REX user has to add his order number into his signature. We DO KNOW that there are forum users who got REX on an illegal way. From the moment they have an issue or big problems, they start a new topic to get support, they reply on some threads what others have to do, even writing us PM's to get support, etc etc. We are not that stupid ! Daily (yesterday from 8am till last night 1am and today again from this morning 8am till I don't know when ... my local time) I'm checking ALL the forum users for their order number in our databases. If they have a right number, they are noted as "Verified" right above their avatar (see yours). There are users who are already two or three years on the forum and never added their order number (some even added a false number, funny). We can not continue asking for their number on a polite way. Sometimes we have to be "a little bit" harder. Tim deletes users with "bad meanings" every day and he's absolutely right. Such guys are steeling money. Please keep in mind that Tim and Reed are developing REX as THEIR JOB. They and their family have to live of that money as someone else is working in a factory, office, no matter where/what to get his money.

To come back on my previous reply, now with the new forum software (and that's easy for the forum admins) there is a big chance that users without an order number will NOT get the information when the new software will be available. It's not me who will tell it to the public, that's not my responsibility. I don't even know how, by email or on the forum. Only Tim and Reed know it. I and the other moderators have the devs' agreement and we take our responsibility to check the users' order number and ask them if needed.

Again Paul, I don't want to be offence against you or others. I only want to make it clear to everybody.

-----------

To the users who didn't add their order number yet : do it as fast as possible, it's for your own good if you want to have the latest, newest REX !!

To the illegal users : BE HONEST TO YOURSELF AND TO THE DEVS AND PURCHASE REX. DON'T FORGET TO ADD YOUR REX ORDER NUMBER !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank you all for your attention.
Peter

No problems, Peter - no offence taken! - I have assumed (now) that English is not your native tongue, and I know it's hard to interpret what you want to say, and equally hard for 'the other guy' to understand just what you mean.....!!! I'll wait - along with all the other impatient guys - for Tim to make the REAL big announcement!!

Hi guys and thank you very much for your reply. That was verrrrrry fast, lol.

@ Tolkt
Accepted, pal. Don't worry, I'm not that bad guy, hehe. When the box(es) was delivered, was there an order or invoice within ? I should be surprise me if it wasn't.
About the FSS, I'll send a note to Tim or he'll read it here. I can't find it in our databases.

@ Paul
Yeah right, English is not my native language and as you say sometimes it's hard and difficult how to make yourself clear in writing/talking. Otherwise being here on the forum is good for teaching myself the English language besides French and a little bit of German, hehe.

Happy holidays.

Geez. a very detailed and impressive feature list upgrade. This brings me to the subject "The beauty of capitalism" We have 2 major contributor's to the weather engine/texture market. I truly believe that if there was only 1,, that this massive amount of work and contribution may not have happened, at least to the level being marketed currently. Thanks a bunch for being competitive! Oh and FREE to existing users, absolutely unheard of.

Regards
Bob

Hmm...

Kinda feel like I've been caught with my pants down - having just uninstalled all of my FSX and addons last week. :-

This gives me a good reason to re-install, and frankly my install was getting pretty stale and gummed up, so now it'll be coming back stronger than ever! :D

"NEW vertical and horizontal visibility feature. We have spent months researching and testing how to handle the visibility with FSX. We have now integrated this feature within our new weather engine. You can still set a default visibility, but you can now enjoy more realistic vertical and horizontal visibility based upon metar reports."

Can't wait- only question:

does this mean there will be a 'fix' to fog disappearing at around 2000ft in this update? pretty much my only pet peeve with REX :)

thx
